Some would say having a flat tire is anything but perfect, however, I beg to differ. I just experienced the perfect flat today.
The kids and I drove in to Bolling AFB this morning to attend the ceremony for Kevin's new boss as he pinned on his third star. For all of our civilian friends, that would be a Lt. General. Once the celebration was over, we hurried to our cars because we were looking forward to our afternoon on the farm since Kevin was taking the afternoon off. I got in my van and Kevin in his car as we prepared to caravan home. As I started backing out of my park, my van felt weird. I got out to check it out and Kevin said, "You have a flat". Thank goodness, he was there, and of course I had Noah. Every parent should take the time to show their son how to change a flat. I was blessed that I had both my guys to come to my rescue:). Praise God the flat didn't happen on the interstate and I didn't miss the ceremony. It happened on base and Firestone was just a block away. God's timing and protection is perfect all the time. He doesn't prevent the flats but He doesn't leave you stranded either. So yeah, I had the PERFECT FLAT TIRE!
I know this is old...but all women and girls should learn how basic car repair/mainteance and use all kinds of tools also ;-)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! I do know how to change a tire but it sure is easier when I have a strong young man, or in this case two, to do it. :)
