Date Night and the Mysterious Note

Since Kevin and Noah were both leaving on Sunday, we decided to have a date night.  Kevin took his beautiful princess and I took my handsome prince :)  Of course we went to separate restaurants :), however, both were Italian.  It was a great evening spending one on one time with our children.  We each had a chance to focus just on them and listen to what they had on their minds.  The past few months have been quite busy with packing, saying goodbye to great friends and our church, the actual move, unpacking, and trying to settle in.  Not the perfect summer for two great kids, however, they are so good with going with the flow and adapting to whatever situation we find ourselves in.  Guess we can thank the Air Force for that :)

My Beautiful Princess
My Handsome Prince
So I am sure you are wondering, what about the mysterious note?  Well, mysterious it was.  Kevin and Lydia went to Olive Garden.  This is one of Lydia's favorite restaurants, so Dad was eager to please his beautiful date, even with a one hour wait.  During dinner, Kevin noticed this young man sitting with his mother drawing or writing on a pad the entire time while she was on her smart phone.  Obviously, the young man was making some observations of his own because when they got up to leave, he handed a note to Kevin and said, "Here you go sir" and kept walking.  It was folded neatly and on the outside it read, "Fret not .... Inspiration comes from many places.  Thank you!

Mysterious Note
It reads, "I am reminded of our great nation by seeing you with your daughter.  It has brought a warmth to my heart, such a beautiful relationship filled with joy.  May your futures be bright and may God stand between you and all the dark places you may walk."  signed GT

This is just a gentle reminder that we never know who is watching.  As followers of Christ, we should always try our best to live as He lived and love as He loves.  It is our responsibility to be Christ like  whenever and where ever we are for there is no better witness than being a living example.
