Freedom on the Farm

Today is a beautiful 4th of July here on the farm.  As I sit on our patio with a morning cup of coffee, holding Baby, my daughter's pet roo, I can't help but take in all the beauty that God has surrounded me with. The chickens are scratching and searching for that prized grub worm.  Ladybug, our German Short Hair, is waiting patiently for that one squirrel willing to play tag with her and the momma house wren is busy feeding her young. It is so peaceful and relaxing.  I am just gonna sit here for a bit and admire this masterpiece with all it's beauty and intricate details.  I know it won't be long until I hear the pitter patter of feet and feel the loving arms of my family giving me those treasured morning hugs.  I wonder what adventure we will have today as we celebrate this Independence Day?
